Yuasa supported driver Albert Carter gets his first win in National Ministox

After testing at Birmingham Stadium on Wednesday evening 12-year-old Yuasa driver Albert Carter went in to this weekend’s National Ministox round at Stoke full of confidence and he didn’t disappoint, getting his first win in his Yuasa supported National Ministox!

Albert Carter is a name you will hear more of in the future that’s for sure, at just 10 years old Albert won the toughest Cadet Kart Club Championship in the country the ‘Trent Valley Kart Club.’ A Club Championship that was won by no less a name than Lewis Hamilton and showing how tough it is Hamilton didn’t win it till age 11.

Now age 12 Yuasa sponsored Carter has moved to a new and just as tough challenge, Brisca National Ministox and as usual the fired up youngster is hungry for success! His first win at Stoke marks a significant step forward in his career and will hopefully be the first of many in the class.

Carter said; “I want to get right to the top of this sport but it’s not going to be easy, our aim must be to have a smooth and productive winter and make progress all the time, and to learn positively as we go. I would like to say thank you to Yuasa for their support and to everyone else who is behind me helping me along.”

His Dad Andy Carter himself a 4 time FIA European Champion in Top Fuel Dragster added; “It’s a new challenge for Albert and he is up against drivers who are 3 and 4 years older than him but we will work hard and keep going forward and I’m sure with Alberts ability, desire and determination he can go all the way.”
