Yuasa Battery Sales (UK) Ltd are pleased to announce that all of the batteries in their Yuasa Leisure and GS Leisure ranges are fully approved by the new National Caravan Council (NCC) Verified Leisure Battery Scheme.
The NCC’s Verified Leisure Battery Scheme was officially launched this autumn, and will provide product verification for batteries used in leisure vehicles. The scheme ensures caravan and motorhome users can easily identify which batteries on the market are quoting accurate, verified specifications, and which are not.
With modern leisure vehicles featuring more technology and electrical appliances than ever before, buying an NCC verified leisure battery will provide consumers confidence that the battery they purchase is fit for purpose and will perform as advertised. The NCC will also encourage its leisure vehicle member manufacturers to fit NCC verified leisure batteries.
The NCC have verified and rated all batteries which are part of the scheme through a comprehensive, industry leading, testing process conducted by suitably certified and audited test houses.
Once verified, batteries are categorised as A, B or C, depending on their capacity and intended purpose. All verified batteries will carry clear NCC labelling to indicate their approval and category to consumers.
Both, Yuasa’s and GS’s Leisure ranges includes six references. Each battery is now NCC verified as a category C product ideal for caravan and motorhome use.
