GS Yuasa introduce measures to maintain availability amidst Coronavirus concerns

GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd remain open for business following the latest measures taken with regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

As the world’s leading battery manufacturer, GS Yuasa provides critical parts for vehicles that are required for essential commuting and the distribution of goods, including for cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles such as trucks, buses and coaches.

GS Yuasa batteries are also a key component for a wide range of critical power & emergency back-up infrastructure. These batteries provide essential stand by power and energy storage for a wide range of applications including telecoms, security alarms, uninterruptible power supplies and renewable energy.

GS Yuasa will remain open to service these requirements and continues to do everything in its power to maintain a high level of service and availability.

Precautionary Measures

To comply with the latest government recommendations, all GS Yuasa office and field-based employees who can now work from home are doing so. Stricter hygiene and site access measures have been introduced alongside a split shift policy within GS Yuasa’s distribution warehouses – limiting personnel numbers and the risk of potential virus transmission.

As a global company, GS Yuasa are continuing to review the current status of their manufacture and supply base, implementing countermeasures where necessary to reduce any potential impact. All factories worldwide are operating as normal with a minimal risk of disruption at this stage.

This is an extremely fluid situation and we will provide you with any further operational updates as soon as they happen.
