John Laverty Motor Factors, a proud distributor of Yuasa batteries, has been awarded Irish Motor Factor of the Year for the second year in a row.
The highly commended award was presented to John Laverty at the Annual Irish Auto Trade Awards ceremony held at the Carton House Hotel in Co. Kildare in October. With awards for various categories from main dealership aftersales to best independent workshop up for grabs, all award winners were voted for by their customers.
John Laverty saw off some tough competition of over 400 other motor factors across Ireland to come home with prestigious gong for the second year running, having collected the same award for 2017.
As winners are chosen by customers, the accolade really reflects who customers think is offering the best service and overall retail experience.
John has always stocked Yuasa batteries over the years, and recently signed up to Yuasa’s ‘Always Check the Battery’ scheme. He feels that his partnership with Yuasa has helped him provide great customer service. Commenting after the event he said; “I feel that stocking Yuasa batteries and taking part in their ‘Always Check the Battery’ scheme has played a big part in us winning this award. Start the day the Yuasa way is our slogan in the shop!
“I have found that my customers have become much more aware of the importance of checking a battery for their vehicle over winter. Customers started calling in with the Yuasa part number rather than asking for advice on what fits a particular vehicle, which makes my life so much easier.

John was also keen to highlight Yuasa’s powerful online lookup tool which save him valuable time and helps identify upselling opportunities.
