GS Yuasa return to Data Centre World with updated lithium-ion battery range

GS Yuasa, the world’s leading battery manufacturer, are set to showcase their updated lithium-ion battery range at Data Centre World 2023. The recently revealed range will be on show alongside GS Yuasa’s market-leading Yuasa-branded VRLA batteries at ExCel London between 8 – 9 March.

The evolution of GS Yuasa’s lithium-ion range sees the introduction of the 30HL and 50EL LIM modules, replacing the 25H and 50EN respectively. Both bring a welcome increase in float life, from 80% to 94% after 20 years of operation, making them ideal for data centre and other industrial applications in which high performance and reliability are key.

To highlight how they can be used, the Japanese battery manufacturer will also exhibit their bespoke energy storage cabinet at the London exhibition. Designed as a space saving, ‘plug and play’ solution, it contains 12 GS Yuasa LIM50EL-12 lithium-ion high energy modules controlled by a battery management system.

The system provides 300kW of power, despite only being the size of a filing cabinet, and is designed to be a convenient alternative to VRLA-powered UPS systems for data centre and other critical standby power applications.

Also on show will be Yuasa’s range of VRLA batteries, including FXH, SWL, EN and ENL types with a heavy focus on how they can be used in both data centre and UPS applications. These ranges have been the industry’s preferred choice for over 40 years.

Mark Greer, General Sales Manager – Reserve and Renewable Power Division at GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK Ltd. said: “Data Centre World is a key date in the diary for us so we’re understandably excited for its return to the ExCel in early March. We’ll be showcasing our recently revised lithium-ion and market-leading VRLA battery ranges.”

“GS Yuasa batteries power thousands of applications that enable our everyday lives. They provide reliable energy behind the scenes to keep your daily life moving. From starting your car to go to the shops, to the GPS signal your sat nav uses to get there. We even support your bank’s IT systems that allow you to pay by card and much more.”

“Our presence at Data Centre World allows us to showcase our products and highlight the characteristics of our high-quality battery ranges for uninterruptable power supply applications to the industry.”

Data Centre World London takes place between 8 – 9 March at ExCel, London. GS Yuasa can be found on stand D935. Register for free tickets online here.
