Yuasa driver Albert Carter charged at Belle Vue with triple podium

Yuasa driver Albert Carter brought the sun out for his sponsors Yuasa, his fans and his Dad at a wet and cold Belle Vue on Easter Monday.

After a poor meeting for Carter at Skegness on Good Friday and then a respectable fifth and a sixth at Stoke on the Saturday it was time for the 12-year-old to get his head together and move on to the fantastic Belle Vue Staduim in Manchester.

It was a full grid of cars and difficult conditions on the wet and changing Shale track that has long straights and tight corners.

A good drive in Heat 2 saw Carter hit the front on lap 2 and then hold on to take a deserved Win from Lewis Evans.

The final was a great race to watch with plenty of action going on everywhere, but it was Carter out front being chased hard by the very quick Lewis Evans. This time Evans took the lead with 3 laps to go and pulled away to take the win with Carter a clear second – Albert’s best place in a Main Final since his move to the brutal National Ministox.

In the All Comers round Carter produced a good drive finding his way through lots of traffic and taking the Win, with Lewis Evans again chasing all the way but this time not finding a way round.

Carter commented, ”Its a long season ahead with at least another 30 meetings but Monday evening got us right where we need to be in the points chase, we now to keep this momentum up”

Next race meeting is Skegness on Thursday March 31st, start time 6pm and then on to Coventry Saturday 2nd Apr and then Buxton on the Sunday 3rd Apr.
